A luxury design-and-build group uniting six specialist companies — spanning architecture, villa construction, pools and landscaping, smart home technology and Italian kitchens — to deliver fully turnkey villa projects.
BG Group was formed when entrepreneur Khalid Kaluti and award-winning designer Bruno Guélaff crossed paths in Dubai — each a client of the other — and realised that combining their specialties could create a transparent, fully integrated design-and-build house. The group’s roots trace to 2006, when Kaluti launched Better Gardens.
Today the group brings six brands under one roof: BG Villas for turnkey villa design and construction, Better Gardens for pools and landscape, BG Smart for home automation and MEP, Studio Bruno Guélaff for architecture and interiors, Pedini for handcrafted Italian kitchens, and BG Properties for development. Every discipline in-house means a single design language and a single point of accountability.
The portfolio spans more than 550 completed projects and over 600 bespoke pools and landscaped gardens, with a flagship show villa on Pearl Jumeirah that has collected multiple industry awards — and Guélaff named Architect of the Year by Design Middle East.

Khalid Kaluti
CEO & Founder
Khalid Kaluti has spent more than 25 years as an entrepreneur across hospitality, retail and construction, including running upscale restaurants in Washington DC before relocating to Dubai. He founded Better Gardens in 2005 focused on landscape design, later co-founding BG Group and building it into an integrated turnkey ecosystem spanning villas, interiors, smart-home automation and Pedini’s Italian kitchens. He was ranked #10 on Property News International’s Power 100 Property Leaders 2026.
Bruno Guélaff
Design Director & Managing Partner
Bruno Guélaff studied at the New York School of Interior Design, winning the school’s B.F.A. Travel Prize across 15 countries, before working as head designer at a New York studio. He relocated to Dubai in 2008 and founded Studio Bruno Guélaff, now BG Group’s design arm. He was named Architect of the Year 2024 at the Architecture Leaders Awards and ranked #5 on Design Middle East’s Architects Powerlist 2025.
